I lost my phone and my keys within the span of one week.Funny thing is, these two items are just the last items that I would ever wanna lose. The pictures, the keychains.... those keychains come in two. Im counting on you now to hold on to your set by your side for as long as you can. Thursday, July 02, 2009, 12:28 AM
The only time I smile to myself as I sleep is when she's lying in my arms, moulding my body to hers, burying my nose in her hair, lulled to sleep by the duet of our heartbeats.I lose myself in the moment, knowing times like this doesnt come easily. Tried to tear myself away, hoping to get numb. but, it aches deeper. Saturday, June 27, 2009, 2:49 PM
"Why is it difficult to achieve happiness with her? Something simple, yet complicated."Now, this is what I would like to explain to meself. You see, to understand why happiness eludes us and why we find it hard to find happiness from others is to understand the nature of happiness. Happiness is a drug in various forms that could not be obtained from every human being because none of us are born to manufacture perfect happiness. Some of us, unfortunately, don't even have that capability at all despite many years of living on earth with other humans. Sometimes happiness comes in the form of tangible items, which are easily obtained by money or the spending of money. The intangible ones can be obtained through physical pleasures, victory (vengeful acts in the case of bitter people), ego-boosting praises, emotional intimacy, Zen calmness and/or marital/familial bliss. Nonetheless, happiness is addictive. Like drugs, happiness doesn't last. Even marriage vows end with "till death do us part", prayers for happiness are repeatedly chanted, let alone a branded bag that will be worn out over long usage. Because they don't last, we sink into depression and try desperately to get it back into our lives. We become eager to please, to give in, to tolerate and compromise with each other in the hope that our efforts will reap the fruit of happiness that we all desire. Because no human, no animals too, in this world is biologically designed to want to lead a sorrowful life. Sorrow is rampant. Perhaps more commonplace than happiness. While sorrow is not a drug, do take heart it doesn't last either. Without the existence of sadness, on what terms can we define happiness? On what basis would happiness be so desirable? When one's fortune is at its bleakest, lowest point, it will go nowhere but up again. And why this cycle of happiness and sadness? It's simply because earth is neither heaven (eternal happiness) nor hell (eternal suffering). =) |
